The 21st edition of the Flying Broom International Women’s Film Festival in Turkey has been screening titles by Iranian filmmakers.
The Iranian lineup includes 'Karestan', a documentary series on Iranian entrepreneurs.
Two of the films from 'Karestan' series that have been scheduled to go on the Turkish screen are 'Mother of the Earth' by Mahnaz Afzali and 'Poets of Life' by Shirin Barqnavard.
'Karestan' series in dedicated to depict successful lives of Iranian entrepreneurs and gives a new definition of careers in Iran.
Each episode of the series has been directed by a different filmmaker under the supervision of the filmmakers Rakhshan Bani-Etemad and Mojtaba Mirtahmasb.
Among the other Iranian titles, scheduled for screening at the Flying Broom, are 'Israfil' by Ida Panahandeh and 'Mothering' by Roqieh Tavakkoli.
Bani-Etemad is also special guest of the festival and will hold a master class on May 16 at Baskent University in Ankara, reviewing her feature film 'The Blue Veiled'.
The 21st Flying Broom International Women’s Film Festival has been slated for May 10-17, 2018, in the Turkish capital city of Ankara.
